Together erasing extreme poverty, one child at the time.

At Muskathlon we are taking a stand against injustice and seek to bring a positive solution for the extreme poverty too many children face today. Every participant embraces the challenge for sporting in extreme circumstances, as well as raising the support for several children, in order to bring forth change for their life.
Since many years, I was looking for a better motivation for running, than just for personal enrichment. I had noted Muskathlons from previous years, but those were organised from different countries.
Recently, I got to know about one which will be organised from Belgium and my interest was reignited.

Why and why now I want to participate for Muskathlon Tanzania 2025?
1. I am alive and well. Last year I went through serious health issue, but now it is in the past, and life continues with a different perspective: life is fragile and precious, and every day is a gift. So, how do I handle this gift?
2. I can do it. Now, I do not mean it is going to be easy or without challenges. Getting back to shape and performing in extreme circumstances will be an adventure.
Moreover, I see that erasing extreme poverty and its effects on children and their communities is a bigger challenge than any individual can accomplish on his own. However, I am convinced that together we can, and we should, do what is in our power to do: sporting for a good cause, sharing the information about the circumstances of extreme poverty, and offering the opportunity to participate in supporting the children in need.

Compassion is an organisation that has been active for decades in supporting children out from extreme poverty. I support their approach and am grateful for the opportunity to take part of their cause.
